This is for artists and photographers who are tired of being broke, having just enough to cover expenses and needing to work a 9-5 job that they don’t even enjoy. This is for those who wants more in life — more time, more resources, who wants to make memories with people that inspire them, wants to earn more from one job than a month's salary. This is for those who's tired of making excuses that justify their means, excuses like "Im in the wrong city", "People don't like me", "Clients cant afford higher rates", "There's a strike happening"
1:1 Coaching: $1,000 +GST
1:1 coaching tailors precisely to your unique needs. My aim? To provide clarity, offer guidance, and propel you closer to realizing your artistic dreams. I commit to moving the needle towards your aspirations—be it through technical mastery, honing creative vision, or refining business and marketing strategies.
During our engagement, we'll have two weekly calls plus direct WhatsApp access for the entire month. We'll tackle your biggest challenges and create fresh approaches. Our weeks may involve journal prompts, creative shoot ideas, portfolio reviews, marketing tactics, setting OKRs, book recommendations, brainstorming for passive income streams, and more. We'll navigate obstacles, uncover your position, and flow with progress as the weeks unfold.
I'm an open book—sharing all I've learned, tools I utilize to secure clients, strategies for consistent work, and relationship-building techniques. However, I want to emphasize, the work is on you. I'm here as a guide, not to write your pitches or emails, but to coach you on effective phrasing and pitching. The journey is yours. Take this 4 weeks as a time to really invest in yourself. What are your life desires? What's holding you back? Identify your limiting beliefs, examine how you present yourself, and prioritize your aspirations. Let's clarify your visions. It's a collaborative effort, but remember, it's diligent work that will illuminate your path forward. The exciting part? It's all attainable. You have the potential to write your success story. No one is more exceptional than you, and likewise, we're all equipped to create our dream lives if we decide to act.
Over the coming weeks we will have weekly calls. We will syncronize our schedule to find a time that works for both of us. From there, you will have access to me Monday - Friday via WhatsApp. Our time together will start from the date of our first call.

About me:
I am surrounded by a very diverse community. Some of my good friends are very different from me; some are accountants, in marketing and sales, lawyers, bankers, doctors, entrepreneurs, investors, photographers, dancers, visual artists, and more. I am fortunate to know people who have different perspectives. Unfortunately, when some of them find out that I am a photographer, the most common reaction that I get is, 'You must be really good at what you do because of x, y, z,' or 'That’s your full-time job?'. I realized that most think that being an artist means you are broke, that you won't be able to afford a vacation for more than 3 months, that you must have a 'day job,' or worse, your parents must be rich.
A little backstory about me: I grew up in the countryside of the Philippines where most people never leave. Some because of contentment, but I say most probably because of a lack of dreams and will to change their reality. I moved to Vancouver about 10 years ago with hopes of pursuing a better life. I stumbled upon photography and happened to be 'good' at it — at least that’s what people say. What most don’t think about is, although my photography is improving, I wasn't always this 'good' or consistent. In fact, I think my work is okay. I have been a freelancer for about 7 years. Prior to that, I was working 9-5 as an in-house photographer for a big Canadian fashion brand. When I left that company, I didn’t have much. I only had a camera, an 85mm lens (given to me), and $3,000 in my bank account, half of which went to my rent. I worked part-time in a bookstore, but when I saw my paycheque for the month, I knew that I could make that in a day if I pursued my own career as a photographer.
Being a photographer is not easy, I think mainly because we mostly think about the technicality and artistic vision or worst copying a trendy style. We don’t give time for business strategies, marketing, and operations — which is why, according to studies, 75% of artists make less than $10,000 a year in the US. I'm guessing less than 20% of the remaining artists make less than $100k, making it about 5% who make north of $100k per year. If you live in a city like Vancouver, you know that to live comfortably, you need about $50k-80k per year.
I was once asked by a student why it is that I get hired for a shoot they could execute and the company could save money because their rates are significantly lower. The answer is simple: because the client likes me. Let that sink in for a second and think about how vast that simple answer is. What does it take to be 'liked'? It’s not just about being 'cool' or being interesting; it has something to do with consistency, strategies, and the ability to communicate (English is not my first language, so as you can imagine, I am not the best with words, but communication is not just about the words that we say.)
I’ve been a freelancer and have run my own career and business for the last 7 years. I am proud of the exponential growth I’ve had since I started the business. I have to admit that the first 2 years were the hardest, mainly because I was aimless and had no strategy but to create technically good images. My photography career is now making a good six figures annually, and my other businesses are generating on the lower end of six figures as well. I started with a camera and lens, shooting corporate headshots, to now working with companies like NETFLIX, SSENSE, Allsaints, ROOTS, Warner Brothers, and more.
Why Coach?
You might wonder why I would choose to take on more in my life when I'm already financially secure. Well, it's not just about money. Helping others brings me joy, and while it's self-serving, I hope that by assisting you, I'm also fulfilling my own desire to make a positive impact.
I don't offer free mentorship. I tried it before, but people often didn't value it, canceling last minute or not putting in the effort. If there's no commitment from your end, it might not be meaningful for you. That's why I've started charging for workshops and mentorship sessions.

***Unfortunately because the nature of my work I can't post the actual images from some of my shoots or show the face of the talent**
